Pavillion de la Reine, Paris

Published September 28, 2013

Tucked discreetly within the exterior walls of the elegant Place des Vosges, in the heart of Le Marais, the Pavillion de la Reine is the epitome of elegant hideaway – a true Hotel Particulier. Favored by Paris regulars for its exclusive feel, ivy filled front garden and boutique-style, Pavillion de la Reine is the ideal spot to indulge a romantic visit to the City of Lights or try on the feeling of living like a local, albeit a spoiled one.  A historic structure, no two rooms are alike and it can take multiple visits to gauge what is the best for you, as they all engage so many different sensibilities. I happen to favor the front garden facing rooms best for their sunlight and old mullion windows. Of course, multiple visits to Paris are never a bad thing.
